When did you start dancing and why? I went to my cousin's dance recital when I was 4. I ran up on the stage during one of the dances... I have been dancing ever since!

What subjects did you study? Tap, Jazz, Ballet & Lyrical

What do you like to do in your free time? I don't have much free time but when I do, I love to be surrounded by my family and friends, usually for a big meal together.

What are your goals for your dance students? My goal is to teach each one of my dancers to always push past the limits they think they have. Life really is about mind over matter. Never be afraid to believe in your abilities!

What are your achievements/awards? I have been teaching for many years and have choreographed numerous dances. Each year I have taught, I always have 1 or 2 dances that stand out to me and its never about the awards they win. It's usually the dances that everyone learns to work as a team, they depend on each other, they trust each other, that's the moments they learn what dance is really about and it is a joy to witness on stage and in the classroom!

What do you love about teaching dance? I love everything about teaching, but I would have to say my favorite thing is watching a dancer struggle with something, continue to work and not give up; that moment they figure it out is priceless.

Who was your biggest influence growing up? My Grandmother, she was always singing and dancing. We would watch all the old musicals and then dance in the kitchen together. (She had the prettiest green eyes 💚.)

Secret talent? Cooking and Chess

Favorite article of clothing? All of my scarves

Favorite snack food? Anything chocolate.
